Small details can make a big difference

When the plans for a large subdivision accessed from Duncan Road and Watkins Road were under review by Greenville County Panning, School District planner Skip Limbaker was astute enough to require a right of way  be added between two homes at the end of a cul-de-sace on Lyndale Court that would allow residents to walk 4/10 mile to nerby Berea Middle School as well as walk or bike 1/10 mile to the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

This is a victory for active transportation that needs to not on only be celebrated but serve as a model for low cost projects needed elsewhere in our community.
