On Saturday March 18, 2023 Bike Walk Greenville, the City of Traveler’s Rest, and The Community Tap celebrated the second successful installation of a trail display counter on the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Members of the community were invited to ride their bike 8 miles from “Tap to Tap”, starting at the Commons in Unity Park to downtown Travelers Rest by 4pm to join the celebration. By riding from one Community Tap location to the other, riders will be counted on both the Greenville and Travelers Rest Display Counters. Raffle prizes will be offered at the Traveler’s Rest Community Tap following the celebration ceremony.
Bike Walk Greenville led a fundraising campaign in 2021 for the Greenville Counter located just north of Unity Park that was donated to the City of Greenville and went live in February 2022.
A second fundraising was launched in 2022 for the counter that has been donated to the City of Travelers Rest. Prisma Health has been a major donor to both fundraisers. The value of the data in driving public and private investment in the SRT network is the underlying reason for the trail counters.

Display Counter Prediction Contest
The new display counter in Travelers Rest went live on the afternoon of March 1, 2023. This photo was taken at our celebration on March 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM. This data is one clue for predicting the full year count from March 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024.
The other clue is the City of Greenville count for the first year ending January 31, 2023 was 701,755
The winner of the contest will receive a Bike Walk Greenville T-Shirt and recognition on social media.
